December 19th, 2011The way this scam works is that you send them money for a mailing list and one of three things happen:
1) You never get a list and just lose your money.
2) You get a list, but belongs to someone else and you get an illegal copy and may get into trouble for using it.
3) You get a list but it is either so old and out of date that most addresses are not valid or the list has been harvested from the Internet and is full of junk and spam traps that will report you if you try to use it for commercial purposes.
Take my word for it, these cheap mailing lists are nothing but trouble and no bargain at all...! It can take as little as one spam report to close your ISP account, Close your hosting account, and suspend your domain name which will shut down your business. Don't risk it...!
Don't even consider these offers if the sender doesn't include full contact information and a link to their web site. (hris

July 28, 2011 09:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time - FAIRFAX, Va. - Postea Inc., a technology provider for the postal, mailing and logistics industry, announced that the United States Postal Service has begun a six-month pilot program of its QubeVuTM 3D imaging system at post offices in the greater Washington, DC area. “We’re pleased to be working with the USPS on this project, and look forward to continued collaborations with them.”
QubeVu is one of Postea’s latest groundbreaking technologies. It simultaneously captures a mail item's dimensional and shipment-related data, and automatically presents the information (along with images) to the user. A unique combination of image processing and 3D sensor technologies captures dimensions, barcodes, addresses and other shipment-related data, meeting the need for customs and border protection, revenue protection and compliance without losing productivity.
The USPS expects that the QubeVu system will help to streamline and ease the process for customers who are mailing international packages. Recent security regulations require postal clerks to manually enter all data from a customs form which considerably slows down transaction times. QubeVu’s 3D imaging software, along with industry-standard handwriting recognition software, will be able to extract the information from the customs form automatically. In addition, the USPS will be looking for innovative ways that other data gathered by QubeVu can help to improve revenue protection, security and compliance for a number of other products and services currently offered.
